Hello there and thank you for wanting to find out how to support the blog. Here are a number of ways of what you can do to help.

To give you an idea of the cost of running this blog over the last few years, please check out my financial update at the bottom of this page.

Please note: If you want one of your games to be reviewed on the blog in the future, please do NOT provide financial support. The blog’s policy is not to review games from people or companies who paid us.

Monthly Subscription

If you are able to offer financial support via a monthly subscription, you can do so in two ways: Ko-Fi or Patreon. In return, you get regular behind-the-scenes updates and, depending on the level of your support, additional rewards, such as dice, a dice tray, a pin badge or even a t-shirt.

Just click either of the buttons to sign up.

One-Off Financial Support

If you prefer, you can make a one-off donation on Ko-Fi.

I won’t necessarily spend it on a coffee and might use it to pay for equipment or put it towards my monthly costs for hosting, etc. instead.

Board Game Donations

If you want me to review a specific game, then sending a free copy of the game would be very welcome. Second-hand copies are very welcome, as long as they are photogenic enough. Postage will be paid for where possible.

Here is the current wishlist, but feel free to send something else. Just get in touch first to make sure the game is suitable for review.

Follow, Subscribe and Tell Your Friends

Following the blog or subscribing to the podcast is also a great way to show your support. Even better, tell all of your friends about the blog.

Comments on the blog and stars and reviews for the podcast would also be hugely welcome.

Speaking of reviews, if you would leave a review on Google, that would be amazing!

Finally, don’t forget to follow the blog on Bluesky, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Mastodon or LinkedIn, so you stay up-to-date.

Thank you!

Financial Update

I thought I’d share the blog’s finances over the last few years. However, before you look at the figures, let me put some things in context.

First of all, the income mentions “Sold Games”. Those are games I bought myself. I never sell review copies. The monetary value of review copies is listed separately, as I do get them for free, but I don’t turn them into cash. In fact, I tend to put them into raffles for good causes, such as my support of UK food banks via The Trussell Trust.

I also mention events as a payment in kind, because I get free press passes, but again, they don’t actually give me an income.

I also have listed paid work, such as the demoing I’ve done for Asmodee UK at UK Games Expo.
